Jesus said “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me (John 10:7). There are many voices that are competing for our ears these days. How can we possibly hear God? It takes intention. Let’s refer to this intention as Listening Prayer. Set aside some quiet time when you can focus, 3, 15, or more minutes. Take a few deep breaths. Read a verse or passage of scripture and then be silent. Sit in this silence for 3, 15 or more minutes. Record what God places on your heart. Maybe use one color for God’s words and another for your thoughts and responses.

Focus Verse: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, (Matthew 28:19-20).”

Day 4: Ask God how does the Old Testament relate to the Great Commission. Set your timer for 3, 15, or more minutes and listen for direction. Record what you hear by cell phone or in a notebook.
Day 5: Ask God what does He mean by “I am with you always, to the end of the age” (verse 20). Set your timer for 3, 15, or more minutes and listen for direction. Record what you hear by cell phone or in a notebook.
