Michele introduced us to Colossians 3:12 that was used in a book by Kelly Minter (“Fitting Room”). Over the next few weeks we will continue to unpack two other virtues highlighted therein: gentleness and humility.

Focus Theme: Clothing yourself with humility

Prayer Prompts

Day 1: What comes to mind when you hear, “Not wrong, different.”? Do you leave room for opinions that differ from your own?

Day 2: When interacting with children do you hold a posture and attitude of humility? Do you feel that you can learn from kids?

Day 3: Spend some time today considering synonyms of humility, that is, words with similar meaning? How did Jesus display humility?

Day 4: Spend some time today considering antonyms of humility, that is, words with opposite meaning?

Day 5: Ask God to bring to mind someone you know who lives clothed in humility. How are you like them? How are you different from them? Thank God for role models who demonstrate Christ-like humility.
